"The Underpants"

The renowned comic actor and author of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile"
provides a wild farce adapted from the classic 1910 German play
about Louise (Julie Jennings) and Theo Maske, (Asa Sholdez)  a
newlywed couple whose conservative existence is shattered when
Louise's bloomers fall down in public. This is when showing an ankle
was considered scandalous! Though she pulls them up quickly, Theo
thinks the incident will cost him his job as a government clerk and end
in ruin, shame and poverty. Louise's momentary display does not result
in the feared scandal but it does attract two infatuated men, a
foppish poet Versati (Michael McFadden) and a whiny hypochondriac
Cohen (Christopher Kapsalis).  Each of whom wants to rent the spare
room in the Maskes' home.  Of course the nosy Neighbor Gertrude
(Leilani Saper) will encourage the naïve and love starved Louise to
find ways to rendezvous with charming Versati. Oblivious to their
amorous objectives Theo splits the room between them, happy to
collect rent from both. Enter a third a possible renter Klinglehoff (Tom
Cook), mistaken identity, wild puns, and amorous chase scenes all
ensue for a rollicking night of theater.
The extremely talented and experienced cast of Asa Sholdez, Michael
McFadden, Leilani Saper, Julie Jennings, Tom Cook and new comer
Christopher Kapsalis bring together this rollicking farce about
underpants and “the power of a glimpse of lingerie”.
